Twin Suns

twin-suns.png An NES-style RPG in homage to Dragon Quest 1 that recreates the limits of the console, built in C and Raylib. It combines Dragon Quest 1-style play and elements of text parser RPGs to create more open-ended scenarios and battles. Made with a custom RPG engine and map editor tools. Currently in development.

Dungeon Rescue

dr.png Co-designed the prototype for a roguelike strategy RPG blending elements from Into the Breach, Divinity: Original Sin 2 and Darkest Dungeon. Created the "Poise" mechanic iterating on D:OS2's "Shield" system, which gives a rhythm to the application of status ailments. Currently in development.

Out of Time

out-of-time.png Made in 24 hours for the 2025 GMTK Jam under the theme "Loop". It features 15 levels and a twist on traditional block pushing puzzle games, where the level is stuck in a time loop and resets after a fixed period of time. You have the power to suspend a limited number of objects in time, further layering the experience. Ranked in the top 500 out of nearly 10.000 entries.

ESPER//EXILE

esper-exile.png An arcade-style scrolling shmup with 5 levels, all featuring unique art, enemy patterns, bosses and music made by myself. Made in 2 months to explore Pico-8 as a development tool. Designed the "Heat" system, where attack power and scoring go up by "grazing" enemy bullets, but backfires if it goes too high. Tells a story about a persecuted psychic returning to Earth to save it, with themes of facing reality and being true to oneself.

Penelope's Gift

penelopes-gift.png An 8-hour long tragic yuri RPG with 4 dungeons, gathering, custom combat mechanics and an open world structure based on a calendar system and a party recruitment system. Features a dynamic skill system where skills are unlocked by gathering plants and using them. Tells a story about the challenges of interpersonal communication, choosing one's path in life, and the complexities of rural communities.

Sasquatch Loves Soup

sasquatch.png Blends Pac-Man style play into a game loop about foraging and making soup as Sasquatch. Placed #9 overall in Ludum Dare 33. It allows ingredients to be mixed in an open-ended fashion and dynamically correlates them to a recipe. Ingredients were curated tightly to create a natural experience of "discovering" all the different recipe combinations in an intuitive way.

Inward Expansion

inward-expansion.png A train simulation game made in Pico-8 with a light, reflective narrative about connecting people. Combines the systemic play of a simulation game with narrative-oriented scenario design, having events unfold as new regions of the map are discovered and towns are connected.

Fantastic Witch Collective

fantastic-witch-collective.gif A "school of magic" RPG made in Love2D and Lua, featuring a custom-built RPG engine and UI framework as well as a unique battle system. The project was not completed but two demos were produced, one demonstrating the world exploration, and another the hybrid action-and-turn-based battle system.

GiDon Duet

gidon-duet.png A minimalist score attack course racing game with 12 levels, as well as an integrated custom-built level editor with a sharing feature. This game was an experiment in blending visual composition and poetry to create narrative forward and fun level design.

Star Bizarre

star-bizarre.png An atmospheric and minimalist space exploration game. Mixes the simple gameplay of Asteroids with a more ambient atmosphere and a cryptic narrative that is uncovered across mutliple play sessions.

Filo Filo Disco

filo-filo-disco.png A versus local multiplayer game made in Love2D that was featured at IndieCade. Features dynamically rendered visuals and a soundtrack composed by myself. It mixes serious competitive elements with a relaxing and joyful atmosphere to create an experience that feels compelling for both parties and tournaments.

Built in GNU Emacs Org mode using its export to HTML feature. Initially based on this tutorial and expanded from there. Uses custom-made CSS and graphics, though the background is "Dragon Scales" courtesy of svgbackgrounds.com.
